### Swapbox Fields Explanation Here are the explanations of the important fields in the swapbox that you should know before swapping and making any transactions. * **You Receive:** This is the *number of Tokens* calculated from Arken's **Best Rate Algorithm** that you should receive. * **Minimum Received:** This tells you the *minimum guaranteed tokens* you may receive, which will *never* be less than the minimum received value shown. The value of the minimum received shown here depends on the slippage tolerance set by each user.

In an unexpected case of a sudden pool change, front-run, or the blockchain processes other transactions first (often caused by the low gas fee set by users), the price of that specific token is affected. This will cause the change in the number of coins/tokens earned from "You Receive", but never to be less than "Minimum Received". In the case where the actual amount is lower than the "Minimum Received" shown, the transaction will be rejected and the protocol will return the total amount of original tokens subtract the gas used. {% hint style="info" %} #### How Arken Calculates "Minimum Received"

{% endhint %} ### **Big Order Problem** Many investors in the DEX market have experienced the difficulties and complexities in buying and selling large amounts of assets. The problem is not limited only to the potential of the asset and investment, but also to the algorithm and mechanism of the automated market maker (AMM) model where a pre-defined algorithm determines prices. In the crypto world, even a split second can make a significant difference in price impact and slippage costs. The larger the trading volume you are ordering, the higher the price impact you will face. Every swap costs us a big opportunity; not to mention the probability of price matching overlook from trading large volumes in smaller liquidity pools, where you struggle to match the price across platforms to make sure you get the best out of your investment. The small margin costs each time you do the transactions, when factored in with the total amount and total numbers of your investment, could become a huge price for you to pay. This is where the “Split Order Feature” on Arken comes into play. #### **How Split Order works** Arken’s Split Order eliminates the challenging and tiresome tasks. Instead of manually monitoring prices and charges, Split Order automatically finds the best price for your trading pairs by searching multiple pools and splits your order across multiple routes to achieve the best possible price in a single transaction. # Stop-Limit for AMM & Limit Orders The most practical Stop-Limit for AMM & Limit Orders in the DeFi. While the potential of the cryptocurrency market is limitless, we acknowledge that the market is still in its early stages of innovation, making it immature and unpredictable. This is evident from the crashes of many cryptocurrencies over the past year due to fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) or uncontrollable market influences. As with any innovation in its early stages, volatility is expected, but it's also important to acknowledge that many people did significantly lose their money and stability beyond their limits in these situations. ### **Introducing Stop-Limit for AMM (SLAMM)** For the first time in DeFi, Arken has developed a Stop-Limit for AMM (Automate Market Maker) to help users manage their risks and execute their strategies for assets in decentralized exchange. Based on Arken Finance’s two distinct technologies: TxFlow & Best Rate Engine 3.0, this feature can help save our users the trouble of managing risks and reaching their limits. ***Before jumping into how things work, it is important to understand the differences between Limit Order and Stop-Limit Order in DeFi.*** #### **What is a Limit Order?** In DeFi, a limit order is a peer-to-peer order with a specific price. Unlike the stock market's limit order, it requires a match with an opposite position from another user to execute. This allows you to buy tokens at a lower price or sell them at a higher price, regardless of the current market price. Unlike swaps where trades are executed instantly at the current market price, a limit order gives you more control over the execution price. As limit orders are automated, you don’t have to monitor the market 24/7 or worry about missing a buy or sell opportunity while inactive. Please be aware that your buy limit order position will be fulfilled by other users’ sell limit order position with the same requirements. Thus, there are no partial fills for the limit order and you’ll get the exact amount of tokens at the price you requested with no deviation. In short, for Limit Orders, you control the buy/sell price of your own, without the influence of the current market price. However, do not mistakenly use limit order for the stop loss purpose! #### **What is a Stop Limit Order for AMM?** A stop-limit order is a limit order that has a stop price to trigger the order execution. Once the market price reaches the stop price, it triggers the limit order. \ *Note: the limit price doesn’t necessarily need to be the same as the stop price.* How does a stop-limit order work? There are two parts to our stop-limit order: * The stop price acts as a trigger to place a limit order. * When the market price of a token reaches the stop price, it automatically creates a limit order with the custom price set by the user (limit price). The order is then executed across the integrated pools that Arken has. In short, Stop-Limit Order will execute when the current market price of a token reaches your desired price. ### Comparing Order Types

### **How is our SLAMM different?** Arken’s Stop-Limit for AMM (SLAMM) is extremely secure. Unlike other protocols, we don't access your wallet to execute transactions. We reserve funds at the start of order creation and only execute the order when ready. If the order is not executed within the set timeframe, the reserved funds will be transferred back to your wallet. With the power of our core technologies, **TxFlow** and **Best rate Engine 3.0**, we can also offer you the fastest and most accurate order in the market, right when you need it. * TxFlow is the world’s fastest blockchain indexing engine. With TxFlow, SLAMM can detect the change in the price of any token on our supported chain faster than anyone else. This means we can decide which Limit Order/Stop-Limit to be executed and respond to the market faster than anyone. * With our Best Rate Engine, the signal from TxFlow will trigger our Best Rate Engine to execute orders for our users. The Best Rate Engine monitors the state of many DEXes and finds the best price for that particular order. Arken does not collect any fees if a transaction is not executed. Users will receive a full refund of their funds, with no fees deducted. Please note that this policy does not apply to gas fees. ### **Mechanics Behind SLAMM**

In the current version, only certain stablecoins are compatible with SLAMM. As for the other side of the transaction, users can select any tokens. However, It's important to note that Stop-Limit for AMM is *not recommended* for tokens with tax. Due to our product execution method involves multiple hops of funds during execution, which may result in paying multiple token taxes. To make it easier for you, we have curated a list of eligible stablecoins to use with SLAMM here: * USDT * USDC * DAI * BUSD * MIM ## Fees Collection & Calculation ### Base Fee Model To use Arken Finance's Stop-Limit for AMM or Limit Orders, an operational fee is applied based on a base fee model, varies depending on the day of the week and time of day. The fee structure is adjusted for weekends and certain off-peak hours due to changes in network gas fees. This fee includes the gas fee and a small reserve for fluctuations. The maximum operational fee for this feature is set at 0.25%, with a minimum of a constant-based number that can be varied depending on the gas fee of each day. If the fee for that specific time of the day is lower than 0.25%, the collected fee will be adjusted accordingly, based on the real-time circumstances. Users can recheck the fee at the bottom of your swapbox, as shown in the example below:

Arken Finance collects operational fees in stablecoins. For example, when placing a 'Buy Stop-Limit' order for a particular token, the fee will be collected from the stablecoins used to purchase that token. On the other hand, when executing a 'Sell Stop-Limit' order, the fee will be collected from the stablecoins received from selling the token. > #### Fee calculation: > > {% code overflow="wrap" %} > > ``` > Arken Stop-Limit for AMM & Limit Order fee = 0.25% (or a constant-based number) x (execute amount in stablecoins) > ``` > > {% endcode %} ### Examples of Buying and Selling Using SLAMM {% tabs %} {% tab title="Buy Stop-Limit (Follow buy)" %} Suppose the current price of ETH is $1000 (USDT), and you plan to start buying it when it enters the bullish trend. However, you don't want to rush to buy it now. You want to make sure that the chart performs the uptrend movement first, so you need to limit the price you will pay. If you believe that ETH may start an uptrend if it breaks above $1100, you can use a buy stop-limit order to open a position in case of a breakout. You can set your stop price at $1100 and your limit price at $1150. Once ETH reaches $1100, the engine is triggered, and a limit order to buy ETH at $1150 is placed. Your order may be filled at $1150 or lower, but never above $1150, as that is your limit price, and any higher amount will render the transaction invalid. {% endtab %} {% tab title="Sell Stop-Limit (Stop Loss)" %} Suppose you purchased ETH at $1000 (USDT) and the current market price is $1100. To minimize your risk and avoid potential losses, you opt to use a stop-limit order to sell ETH if the price drops back to your entry. You create a sell stop-limit order with a stop price of $1050 and a limit price of $1000 (the price you originally bought ETH at). If the price hits $1050, a limit order to sell ETH at $1000 will be placed. {% endtab %} {% endtabs %} {% hint style="warning" %} **Notes Before Using SLAMM** **Please Do Your Own Research.** Understanding the differences between the features is highly recommended before any attempt at usage. Arken’s Stop-Limit for AMM is not recommended for tokens with tax. Due to our product execution method, several hops of funds will be made during the execution, which may result in paying several times the token tax. Our Gas Optimization Mode is your solution. Have you ever noticed how much you have paid for gas fees since you started trading? Arken’s Gas Optimization mode is here to help! Once exercised, the original NFA will be exchanged to an NFT with no $ARKEN embedded. ## **Futures Contract: The Innovations Behind NFA** The innovation lying behind NFA involves applying two different concepts together: NFT and airdrops. The promise we have for our airdrop winners is to give them the token when it launch. That’s very similar to the ‘*Futures Contract’*. Since each winner receives a different prize, that makes each Futures Contract unique. Hence, they are non-fungible. The Non-fungible futures token that we are introducing now is a Futures Contract in the form of NFT. The trading volume score is essentially the monetary equivalent of the trading volume in USD. We have two sides to the tokens in a single transaction, the From side and the To side. For instance, converting 1 BNB to 499.5 BUSD. 1 BNB is the From side, and 499.5 BUSD is the To side. The To side of the transaction will be translated to the amount prior to deducting the 0.1 percent trading charge. For instance, 499.5 BUSD in output will be translated to 499.5 / (1 - 0.1%) = 500 BUSD. We are now forced to pick between the two camps. There are many token levels from which the system may select. The system will choose the side that is higher rank (the lower tier number). The following table details the tiers for each chain. ***Binance Smart Chain*** Tier 1: BUSD Tier 2: BNB Tier 3: USDC, USDT, DAI, KUSD ***Polygon Chain*** Tier 1: USDC Tier 2: MATIC, ETH Tier 3: DAI, USDT ***Ethereum Chain*** Tier 1: USDT Tier 2: ETH Tier 3: UST, USDC, USDP, DAI, BUSD, TUSD Tier 1 and Tier 3 tokens are stable coins. # Audit [Arken Finance](https://go.arken.finance/YToGhH) has passed the audits from both CertiK and Inspex, one of the top 5 global blockchain security auditors and the leading blockchain security auditor in Thailand, respectively. In addition, we have done an audit with Blocksec later in 2023. It was one of our many duties to ensure that smart contracts were properly implemented and securely protected against outside threats. One step at a time, we want to instill confidence in our community and this is one of many steps that we are taking to ensure utmost safety and confidentiality for our users. Blocksec conducts the audit by engaging the following approaches: Static analysis, Fuzzing testing, and Manual code review. As a result, there were two potential issues pointed out and successfully resolved by the team. Static code analysis, dynamic analysis, and manual review were completed by the Inspex team, in conjunction to identify smart contract vulnerabilities together with technical & business logic flaws. 2 high and 5 info-severity issues were pointed out and successfully resolved by the team. It is ensured that there are no critical vulnerabilities and none of the issues have any impact on the functioning and security of Arken Finance. A comprehensive examination has been performed by Certik, utilizing Static Analysis and Manual Review techniques. The security assessment resulted in findings that ranged from critical to informational, which had been addressed and resolved. The full audit report can be found [here](https://www.certik.com/projects/arkenfinance). # Smart Contract ## Upgradeable Swap Protocol ### What is an upgradeable contract? One of the powerful features of the blockchain is its immutability. On the contrary, the quality of software came from upgrading and patching the code via iterative releases. The upgradeable proxy is a mechanism for upgrading smart contracts that can be controlled by a governance mechanism be it a multi-sig wallet, DAO, or even a simple address. ### Why upgradeable? As stated above, to deliver high-quality software we would love the ability to release the features iteratively. Said features are often new DEX integration, which in return will provide a better rate swap. So why don't we just deploy a new contract without the proxy? Because that would require our users to approve the ERC-20 every time we change the smart contract. And we believe that won't give the best trading experience which is our aim. The upgradeable contracts have downsides though. One of them is that a malicious actor can switch the implementation contract into something with unexpected behaviors e.g. stealing users' funds. ### How to handle the malicious action? The address that can execute the upgrade command on the proxy is the Timelock contract. This means everyone can see the upgrade 24 hours ahead of time before the actual change takes place. The users will have a decent amount of time to act accordingly in case a questionable upgrade is about to happen. ### Deployed contracts The explanation of each contract is as follows: * TransparentUpgradeableProxy is a proxy contract that points to the implementation (ArkenApprove) contract. The admin of the proxy is ProxyAdmin. * ArkenApprove is a contract that allows the transfer of funds only by ArkenDex. * ArkenDex is the swap protocol implementation. * ProxyAdmin is the admin of the TransparentUpgradeableProxy contract. The owner of this contract is Timelock. * Timelock is the timelock mechanism contract. **RISK** * Arken's Price Feed Engine is a newly developed technology with unique algorithms and strategies. Thus, every time the user buys/sells coins and tokens, please must be sure to check the value of the coins that the user will receive carefully.

Double TAX

**RISK** * Arken Best Rate works as an intermediary for token exchanging between DEXs. * Results: In some transaction orders, exchanging certain types of tokens, such as tokens with taxes, commissions, or transaction fees (which do not meet ERC-20, BEP-20 standards) will result in double tax cases.
